May 2008

What a weekend it was. Not only did we go to Tennessee to see our little brother Nick graduate high school, George, the bestest husband in the world, threw me a pizza party for my birthday when we got back. Awww…and not only that, he found a place that made a 36 INCH PIZZA. It was the BIGGEST thing I had ever seen. 20 people couldn’t even make a real dent in it.

Thanks everyone for coming over and helping me celebrate. I can’t believe I’m 32.

Most of you reading this blog have already heard by now….George and I are having a baby! 🙂 We decided to make the announcement today because today was also our first prenatal appointment and we actually got to SEE the little bean and hear it’s heartbeat! Now, there’s no denying it…it’s for real. 😉

Today, we are 7 week and 1 day….I know most people like to wait until they’re at least 12 weeks to announce to the world that they’re expecting. Trust me, it’s been hard enough trying to keep this a secret this long. The minute we found out a little over a month ago, we both had to try very very hard to keep from telling everyone we knew! Haha!

Anyhow, if you look at the top of this blog, you’ll see a new section entitled “WE’RE HAVING A BABY!” This is the new section I was talking about in my last post. It’s basically the page where I will document the entire 38-40 weeks with symptoms and other thoughts.

That’s it! That’s our news. Don’t worry, I’ll continue blogging about our regular happenings, I mean sheesh, having a baby is not going to consume our entire lives for the next 7 months….or is it? 🙂

Sorry for the lack of posts lately. I think this has been the longest dryspell since I started this blog. I know I missed a few birthdays since my last post…namely the Eagle’s and my big sister’s. A big happy be-lated birthday to them! 🙂

I’m working on a new section to be unveiled this Thursday. I’m not going to tell you what it’s about yet, you’ll just have to wait and see…hopefully, this new section will force me to update more often.

Anyhow, we’re hopping on a jetplane to Tennessee this weekend. My little brother-in-law Nick is graduating high school! Woohoo! Only an important occassion like this can drag my lazy-butt out to the east coast. Hehe. 🙂

Congratulations Nick!
